Modena-Netspar Conference on Advances in Household Finance
Modena
9-10 April 2015
The conference is organised by the Department of Economics and Cefin at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in collaboration with Netspar (University of Tilburg) with the financial support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Modena and Prometeia (Bologna). There are academic sessions on Thursday and Friday and a policy panel session on Thursday afternoon.
Household finance has been attracting increasing attention in recent years, as the Great Recession and a weaker social security net have made the households more responsible for their portfolio choices and the management of their financial risks. By bringing together economists working on topics such as household financial fragility, savings and retirement choices, financial literacy, gender and other demographic issues, the conference seeks to capture the latest research and to provide useful policy suggestions.
Scientific committee
Costanza Torricelli (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Cefin and CeRP)
Arthur van Soest (Tilburg University and Netspar)
